# Steps to Take If You Disagree with a Review

## If you believe a review is unfair or inaccurate, you may choose to dispute it.

### 🧭 How to Dispute a Review

Follow these steps to dispute a review directly from your adviser portal:

1. **Log into your adviser portal**  
   [Click here to access your portal →](https://portal.adviserratings.com.au/login/)
2. **Go to the ‘Manage’ section under Reviews**
3. **Locate the review in question**
4. **Click the “Dispute” button**
   
     - This will trigger a dispute flag on the review.
     - The Adviser Ratings team will be notified to review the content and progress of veracity checking the reviewer.

### 💬 Still Concerned After the Review Is Published?

If the review goes live and you believe it violates our terms (e.g. it’s defamatory, factually incorrect, or does not relate to a client interaction), please contact us directly at **admin@adviserratings.com.au**. Include:

- A direct link to the review
- Clear details outlining why you are disputing it

- Genuine
- Relevant to a real client experience
- Published in accordance with community standards and [ACCC guidelines](https://www.accc.gov.au/about-us/publications/online-reviews-a-guide-for-business-and-review-platforms)

As a publisher of consumer opinions, we play a neutral role—our aim is to support transparency and accuracy in financial advice. While we help ensure fairness, **we do not act as a legal or dispute resolution body**.

We encourage advisers to see reviews—positive or critical—as part of a transparent financial services ecosystem that builds trust and elevates the profession.
