It is awarded by Adviser Ratings and previously supported by The Beddoes Institute, focusing on client satisfaction, transparency, and professional credibility.
Holding the MTA designation enhances an adviser’s credibility, visibility, and marketing edge, with public reviews that support SEO and generate leads.

Annual Cost

$250 (AUD) per adviser, per year
This fee covers all digital assets, accreditation, and access to your review data.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the MTA designation, advisers must meet the following:

A public profile on Adviser Ratings

A minimum of 40 active clients in the past 12 months
-
At least 20 client reviews on Adviser Ratings, dated within the past 2 years
-
A client response rate of at least 25%
-
An average client rating of 4.5 stars or higher (based on recent reviews)
-
At least 5 years of experience as a qualified adviser
-
Current membership in a Tier 1 association (e.g., FAAA, CPA, CAANZ, IPA)
- A or B compliance ratings over the past 2 years, supported by compliance reports (verified by a signed statutory declaration from your Head of Compliance and subject to audit)
How to Meet the Criteria
1. Ensure Your Profile is Public
Visit your Adviser Ratings portal and confirm your profile is live and visible to the public.
2. Invite Clients for Reviews
Advisers must have at least 40 active clients (a minimum of 40 clients must be invited to review) and collect a minimum of 20 reviews.

3. Track Your Progress
Log in to your adviser portal regularly to monitor your:

Number of client reviews

Response rate
-
Average star rating
4. Confirm Eligibility
Once you have met the above criteria, email Adviser Ratings to declare your compliance standing. You may either:

Submit a signed statutory declaration from your Head of Compliance

Or confirm in writing that your reports are available for audit if needed.
5. Make Payment
Once your eligibility is confirmed, you will receive an invoice for the $250 annual fee. Upon payment, your MTA pack will be delivered.

You are encouraged to use your badge and certificate in the following ways:
